Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Rebla systems, installation, filters, orders, and support.

01

Getting Started

What is reverse osmosis?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses pressure to push water through a semipermeable membrane. The membrane helps reduce dissolved substances and other impurities that conventional carbon filtration alone may not address.

How is the Rebla Compact RO different from traditional RO systems?

The Rebla Compact RO brings the filtration stages and storage tank together in a clean, all-in-one design. It uses quick-change cartridge filters instead of traditional filter housings and separate housing O-rings, making routine maintenance simpler and cleaner.

Is the Rebla Compact RO right for my home?

The Rebla Compact RO is designed for homes that want purified drinking water directly from a dedicated faucet. It installs under the kitchen sink and requires a residential water supply with at least 30 PSI of incoming pressure.

Will the system fit under my sink?

The Rebla Compact RO measures approximately 16.5 × 9.25 × 15 inches. Its all-in-one design keeps the storage tank integrated inside the system, so there is no separate tank to make room for. Measure your available under-sink space before ordering and allow room for tubing and installation connections.

02

Filtration & Water Quality

What does the Rebla Compact RO reduce?

The system uses five stages of filtration, including sediment filtration, carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, and final polishing. Together, these stages are designed to improve drinking water quality by reducing a broad range of impurities.

Which Rebla components are NSF certified?

The Rebla Compact RO uses NSF-certified filter cartridges and an NSF-certified storage tank. The complete assembled system itself is not certified as a single unit.

What happens to the contaminants removed from the water?

The RO membrane separates many dissolved substances from the purified water stream. These concentrated substances are carried away with the drain water rather than stored inside the system.

Does reverse osmosis produce wastewater?

Yes. Drain water is a normal part of the reverse osmosis process. The Rebla Compact RO typically operates at approximately a 1:1 to 1:2 purified-water-to-drain-water ratio, depending on feed water quality, pressure, and temperature.

A lower drain ratio alone does not necessarily mean better filtration. RO performance should be evaluated by both water efficiency and purification performance.

03

System & Performance

How much water does the storage tank hold?

The system includes an integrated 2.2-gallon pressurized storage tank. Because RO tanks use internal air pressure to deliver water to the faucet, usable water volume is lower than the tank’s total physical capacity.

What water pressure is required?

The system requires a minimum incoming water pressure of 30 PSI. Water pressure can affect production speed, drain ratio, and overall RO performance.

How much purified water can the system produce?

The Rebla Compact RO is equipped with a 100 GPD reverse osmosis membrane. Actual daily production varies depending on incoming water pressure, water temperature, and feed water quality.

Can I connect the system to my refrigerator or ice maker?

Yes. The Rebla Compact RO can be connected to a refrigerator or ice maker using a compatible refrigerator connection kit, sold separately.

Does the system require electricity?

No. The Rebla Compact RO requires no electricity and no pump. It operates using your home’s incoming water pressure.

04

Installation & Maintenance

Can I install the system myself?

Yes. The Rebla Compact RO is designed with simplified connections and arrives factory-assembled to reduce installation complexity. Basic plumbing work is still required, including connecting the feed water, drain line, and dedicated drinking water faucet.

What is included with the system?

The system includes the Rebla Compact RO filtration unit with integrated storage tank, a dedicated 304 stainless steel faucet, tubing, connections, and installation components.

How often should I replace the filters?

All filters, including the RO membrane, are recommended for replacement every 12 months under typical household use. In homes with heavy water consumption or particularly hard feed water, the first three pre-filters may be replaced every 6 months to help maintain system performance.

Do I need tools to replace the filters?

No special tools are required for routine filter replacement. The quick-change cartridge design eliminates the need to unscrew traditional filter housings.

Does the system use traditional filter housings or O-rings?

No. The Rebla Compact RO uses enclosed quick-change cartridges instead of traditional filter housings. This means there are no separate housing O-rings that can be misplaced, pinched, damaged, or incorrectly reinstalled during routine filter changes.

How do I know when it is time to replace the filters?

For most households, we recommend following the scheduled replacement interval rather than waiting for a noticeable change in taste or water flow. Actual filter life can vary depending on usage and incoming water quality.

Does the system include leak protection?

Yes. The system includes a leak detection mechanism designed to react when its detection pad comes into contact with water and help stop the incoming water supply.
